Position Details

What You Will Do

  • Check creative materials before submission to relevant stakeholders including advertising campaigns, blogs, annual reports, advertising, direct mail, social media, and email 
  • Write variations and synopses for digital and print and provide copy related advice and solutions to the design team 
  • Administer the brand approval submission process
  • Conduct brand governance review for all external marketing communications
  • Deliver monthly brand approval reporting
  • Identify opportunities to improve process and make recommendations accordingly
  • Review creative design drafts to identify opportunities to refine copy and ensure both house style and Canadian Press (CP) style guide is applied
  • Review all visual assets against CAA brand playbook and depiction standards
  • Ensure that SEO decisions have been applied and are maintained
  • Conduct audits of the owned media channels to identify opportunities
  • Draft internal and business-related notifications for web, social, email and in-store communications as required 

Who You Are

  • University degree in English, Journalism, writing, copywriting, or related field 
  • 1-2 years marketing experience 
  • Ability to provide concise, direct, and considerate feedback
  • Strong communication and analytical thinking skills 
  • Understanding of branding principles, design practices, and standards
  • Demonstrated copy editing, writing and grammatical skills
  • Internal / external partner relationship management 
  • CP style certification is an asset
