Position Details

What you will do:

  • At least 8 years of experience in SAP Basis installation and configuration
  • At least 5 years of experience in HANA Consulting Skills as team member
  • At least 4 full life cycle implementations
  • Exposure to production support is mandatory
  • Timely review and response to incident tickets per established SLAs and processes
  • The SAP HANA Basis Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Basis component of SAP systems
  • The candidate should have experience with installation and configuration of Gateway/Fiori, Web dispatcher and SAP Cloud connector
  • Implement and maintain the multiple SAP instances that comprise the SAP environment (Development, QA, UAT, Pre-Production and Production)
  • The candidate will also be responsible for administration of SAP HANA system integration within an SAP Landscape. The role covers HANA Security, HANA SLT Configuration, Suite on HANA, HANA System Monitoring, HANA Install & Config, Health Checks, and Monitoring
  • The SAP HANA Basis Administrator should have experience installing support packs, add-ons, kernel upgrades, OSS Notes, conducting patching (Windows OS Patching, Linux Patching), executing backups/recovery, system refresh and troubleshooting as well as database administration, conducting failover of production systems, and monitoring and performance tuning of SAP systems
  • Expertise in SAP Infrastructure with emphasis on SAP Basis, Security, Change management, SAP Integration technologies, Development Workbench, Memory management, and Workload management
  • Should be able to handle Code Migration, HANA DB Upgrades, Data Refresh, Monitoring alerts for the SAP HANA Systems
  • Should be able to perform SAP / HANA / OS Memory management, System monitoring & Performance tuning
  • The ideal candidate should be able to recommend and implement downtime optimization techniques for migrations and upgrades
  • Experience on supporting GRC, Solution Manager, SAP Content Server, and HANA Cockpit.
  • Experience on data archiving configuration (SARA) and support
  • Experience on supporting Sybase ASE, and MaxDB databases

Who you are:

  • Degree in Computer Science or any analytical discipline
  • Knowledge on supporting SAP security roles & authorization is a plus
  • Ability to create scripts in Windows and Unix/Linux is a plus
  • Experience / Certification in Azure is a plus
  • The candidate should have experience performing system sizing is a plus
  • Individuals should be capable of working independently or in teams and have the ability to effectively communicate with end users to gain insight and develop solutions to meet their business needs
  • Ability to communicate verbally and distill complex technical terms with conciseness, clarity, and accuracy
  • Exemplary communications skills specifically in communicating complex/technical projects information to a wide business audience
