Position Details

What You Will Do

  • Document Business analysis artifacts such as BRD’s, User Stories, Use Cases etc. and establish acceptance test criteria with clients.
  • Complete process mapping to identify AS IS information, process flows and develop TO BE state process maps.
  • Perform gap analysis, and identification of any areas for improvement within existing procedures, methods and business processes.
  • Perform Gap-Fit analysis for OOTB system applications.
  • Prototype potential solutions for business process re-design, provide trade-off information and suggest recommended course(s) of action.
  • Develop functional and technical specifications for delivering new and maintaining existing business applications.
  • Act as a subject matter expert with regards to business needs and application design related activities; these activities may include leading configuration and design reviews within a project team.
  • Evaluate existing procedures and methods; identify and document items such as database content, structure, and application subsystems; develop data dictionaries.
  • Interact with other IT functional units to clarify and build applications that meet business unit objectives. These departments include, but are not limited to, Shared Services, Infrastructure and Support groups.
  • Perform product design, set up and configurations
  • Troubleshooting issues though analysis, basic SQL skills

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative / analytical discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a business analyst, CBAP or PMI-PBA Certification preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with P&C and / or Auto insurance, Commercial Auto/Long-Haul Trucking an asset
  • Proven experience in studying business processes, eliciting and documenting requirements
  • Experience in working in an Agile and hybrid environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong MS Office (Excel,  Word, Visio, PowerPoint) Skills
