Position Details

Role and Responsibilities:
Systems Administration – Responsible for providing a stable and reliable systems infrastructure for business process and services. 
Provide 24 x7 infrastructure and systems support across data centers, and remote sites on a shared schedule across the team
Leverage PowerShell, Bash, Perl, Python, or other scripting skills as needed to provide systems-level automation for recurring tasks and functions.  Create playbooks and deploy them via tools such as Ansible.
Manage and monitor all production-related systems and respond quickly and decisively as issues arise to bring about a quick resolution
Review system performance and reports to analyze and make recommendations to alleviate bottlenecks and performance issue (vRealize, VeeamOne, Solarwinds, SCOM)
Expert skill administering Microsoft Windows Active Directory environment including domain services, sites and services, users and computers, and group policy administration.
Proven experience with VMware and high understanding of hyper converged technology (built on physical Dell servers and Cisco UCS blades)
Storage Administration including provisioning, upgrading, and managing snapshots (Dell PowerStore, NetApp, Pure, Infinidat)
Advanced engineering experience with tiered storage, DR, and replication technologies.
Backup Administration including managing backup software and media/proxy servers, maintaining backup jobs, respond to failures, and optimize the environment (Veeam, Data Domain)
Expert knowledge around Linux systems and integrated converged stack infrastructure & hyper convergence stacks. 
Patching – Works with Information Security team to maintain patch schedule and implements patches according to schedule.  Works towards automating patches. 
Maintains security standards, applications, logging as per standards on all system

Requirements:
Post-Secondary education or Diploma in computer science or Information Technology or equivalent experience
3 plus years’ experience working at a Systems Administrator or related position
