Position Details

What You Will Do

  • Install, configure, deploy & administer enterprise applications
  • Understand and research system functionality & application dependencies and keep accurate system documentation
  • Perform day-to-day support, accurately identify, and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Provide accurate and timely reports to management regarding status of critical systems & processes
  • Actively participate in Agile development projects to represent the interests of maintaining Production application stability and adhering to Production readiness standards
  • Strive to improve production environment stability by working with others to setup, maintain and monitor applications and systems, while meeting availability targets
  • Actively participate in DR planning and design, be involved in DR exercise
  • Timely prioritize & escalate incidents to Senior Management attention
  • Build, automate, maintain & troubleshoot end-to-end release management (CI/CD) flows
  • Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and optimize operational environment
  • Develop and use appropriate metrics to monitor production environment
  • Follow established processes/standards, technology architecture, risk and production capacity guidelines
  • Work with infrastructure teams to establish best practices & standards for application installation, configuration & troubleshooting
  • Work with external vendors to coordinate a variety of functions including support, upgrades, patches
  • Debug & analyze application issues using standard tools available in the market
  • Maintain technology currency

Who You Are

  • 4-7 years relevant experience
  • Good at problem solving
  • Experience supporting Java applications on Tomcat and/or /Dot.Net application on IIS
  • Production support experience with enterprise applications
  • Experience supporting SOAP/REST webservices and using tools like SOAPUI/POSTMAN
  • Production working experience of both Linux and Windows operating systems
  • SQL/database experience
  • Change management and incident management experience
  • Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle
  • Strong communications skills both verbal and written for a client facing role
  • General Knowledge of the Insurance domain
  • Experience setting up application monitoring (SCOM, Dynatrace, Log Analytics tools etc.)
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience setting up & automating CI/CD flow and using tools like TFS, Jenkins, Ansible etc.
  • Shell scripting/ Power shell experience
  • Ability to work on a flexible time schedule outside of normal working hours for production deployments and application support
  • Experience with configuring and deploying applications on containers i.e., Dockers/ Kubernetes (nice to have)
