Position Details


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify insights, ideas and benefits  into verifiable concepts based on consumer value and commercial potential to Manager and other stakeholders; ability to site value of the idea/concept by stating the benefits for the viability of the business
  • Identify niche concepts and ideas and what value and benefit they could bring to CAA Insurance
  • Monitor new concepts /technologies from competitors locally and in other markets to maintain a solid new product/concept pipeline for potential internal use
  • Influencing and directing the ideation phase of the strategic innovation process with project teams and other stakeholder groups
  • Produce and pitch disruptive ideas related to innovation in technology, product or process to stakeholder groups through business proposals, to seek buy-in from leadership
  • Align all new ideation with the vision and overall company strategy and instill capabilities required to drive more innovative processes
  • Contribute to and deliver through the robust process for delivering each stage of innovation development with key stakeholder sign off, prioritization, delivery and ultimate hand off to the business
  • Continuous incubation of new ideas and concepts
  • Be the SME on newly launched insurance concepts, specifically marketing and product development areas
  • Responsible for managing various ongoing projects, while collaborating effectively in cross-functional project teams. Accountable for results driven outcomes


Job Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business or Economics 
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Product Development and/or Technology Innovation, Business Development, Building and Executing Strategy 
  • Strategic mindset coupled with exceptional analytical skills and ability to develop new ideas from concept to implementation 
  • Ability to multi-task and think “outside the box” looking for creative solutions and opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, confident to present to senior leadership 
  • Experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Visio and MS Project
  • CIP designation or working towards it will be considered a strong asset
