Position Details

What You Will Do:

• Assess and analyze that the business written by our Broker and Direct channels adhere to CAA’s underwriting guidelines and procedures
• Communicate any identified trends, quality of underwriting decisions and recommend opportunities of training and education
• Present and deliver audit findings to all partners and create effective action plans
• Work on projects as required, both from leading small projects to representing the Underwriting department
• Support the Underwriting team through knowledge transfer of new business, renewals and policy changes, property inspections.
• Design, improve, and maintain key audit reports and By-Pass training documents
• Assist the Business Development Team on the assessments of Broker opportunities

Who You Are:

• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in personal lines auto and property underwriting
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task
• Strong decision-making skills, risk assessment ability, and P&C product knowledge
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Access and Excel)
• Post-secondary education in a related field, and/or currently holds or working towards CIP is required
