Position Details

What You Will Do 

  • Implement, manage and measure external communications projects and initiatives 
  • Serve as a communications resource for various business partners, providing guidance on using the most effective and efficient external communications, media, processes and tools
  • Develop and implement external communication strategies and ensure the effective communication of processes, procedures and other important communications 
  • Measure and report on overall engagement of external communications on a quarterly basis
  • Review the effectiveness of communications channels and recommends improvements or new channels as necessary
  • Develop, plan and work with marketing specialists on execution of innovative marketing campaigns to educate our target audience and increase awareness and engagement
  • Manage the content on Echelon’s public website and broker portals, working with the Manager, Content and Communications to establish a content strategy and success measures, and directly with subject manner experts from across Echelon’s LOB’s to ensure information accuracy and relevancy 
  • Support the digital execution of our content marketing and social strategy to promote key messages and developing innovative ways to build engagement and interest through various media
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that our public website and broker portal provide the best possible experience for our brokers, while championing the development of new features/releases
  • Develop compelling content to position Echelon as a leading specialty and leverage it through multiple channels including owned, earned and industry resources
  • Manage social media platform message deployment, working with the Communications and Content Manager, including developing interactions that are on brand, engaging and informative.
  • Support external events such as tradeshows, broker retreats and/or council meetings 
  • Support Echelon’s broader and corporate communications needs by developing and editing communiques, memos, presentations, blog posts, brochures, web content, etc.

 

Who You Are 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Marketing, Journalism or Communications
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in broker or B2B communications  
  • Internal/External/Partner relationship management. 
  • Experience developing integrated communications plans aligned with key messaging
  • Experience translating technical information or concepts into easily digestible communications and content
  • Experience working with digital and social media platforms (Social, Marketing automation, CMS systems)
  • Understanding of online content development and content marketing best practices
