Position Details

As an Accident Benefits Learning Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping the knowledge and confidence of our Claims Adjusters, ensuring they have the in-depth technical and business expertise to deliver exceptional service to our claimants/customers/Members. This role offers continuous learning opportunities, exposure to cutting-edge training tools, and the chance to influence the future of insurance education.

 

What you will do:

  • Consult with our business partners in Accident Benefits Claims to determine the learning needs of our Accident Benefits Adjusters
  • Design and develop, small to large scale, learning programs, using the most effective and appropriate instructional methods/materials to provide and reinforce the learning and enhance knowledge retention
  • Use your energetic attitude and engaging public speaking skills to present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats
  • Stay current on the insurance industry, the Statutory Accident Benefit Schedule (SABS) as well as abreast of training and development trends, activities, and techniques to ensure that you stay current with the industry

The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. Who you are:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma and a degree/certificate (or willingness to obtain) in Adult Education
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working as an Accident Benefits Claims Adjuster, adjudicating Non-Catastrophic Accident Benefits Claims  
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing small to large scale learning programs  using different delivery modalities. Or, a minimum 5 years of experience in training facilitation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience using Articulate Storyline and Camtasia is preferred 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • French language proficiency is an asset
