Position Details

As an Insurance Trainer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the knowledge and confidence of our insurance professionals, ensuring they deliver exceptional service to our Members. This role offers continuous learning opportunities, exposure to cutting-edge training tools, and the chance to influence the future of insurance education.

 

What you will do:

  • Consult with our business partners in the Accident Benefits Claims department to design and develop training programs, ranging from small to large scale, using the most effective and appropriate instructional methods/materials to reinforce the participants' learning and enhance knowledge retention.
  • Use your energetic attitude and engaging public speaking skills to present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
  • Stay current on the insurance industry, the Statutory Accident Benefit Schedule (SABS) as well as abreast of training and development trends, activities, and techniques to ensure that you stay current with the industry. 
  • Design and deliver engaging training programs that empower insurance professionals to excel.
  • Leverage innovative tools and techniques to create memorable learning experiences.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and bring fresh ideas to our learning strategy.

The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply.

 

Who you are:

  • Have Post-secondary degree/diploma and interest in pursuing Adult Education certification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the insurance industry in the capacity of broker/agent/underwriter/claims adjuster
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in training development using different delivery modalities is a must
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in training delivery
  • Passion for instructional learning
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience using Articulate Storyline and Camtasia is preferred 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • French language proficiency is an asset
