Position Details

What You Will Do:
•    Prepare standard journal entries on a monthly basis
•    Prepare working paper files and schedules to support monthly account reconciliations, and investigate unusual items as necessary
•    Take ownership to understand and resolve accounting issues, should they arise
•    Prepare reports such as income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, etc.
•    Assist in the preparation of materials and schedules to support the internal and external financial statements
•    Reconcile non-complex balance sheet accounts (e.g. low volume, routine transactions that clear on a regular basis)
•    Assist in the preparation of regulatory reporting requirements
•    Interact with external and other auditors
•    Assist in researching technical accounting literature

Who You Are
•    Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (i.e. Accounting)
•    Enrolled and pursuing the CPA designation preferred
•    1-2 years’ experience in Accounting
•    Basic understanding of accounting systems
•    Basic knowledge of Excel
•    Accuracy and attention to detail and timeliness
•    Ability to work independently with a moderate level of supervision
•    SAP experience is an asset
