Position Details
What you will do
- Manage the complete short term (STD) and long term disability (LTD) process for specific internal client groups
- Manage the entire disability lifecycle from opening a case, sending process and updates to all involved stakeholder including the Associate, Managers and HR Consultants
- Maintain STD/LTD log, quarterly summaries as well as annual reporting
- Provide support for Benefits administration. Resolve any issues or concerns with the service provider
- Process benefits billing and audits
- Research and enhance programs aligned to overall employee value proposition
- Assist with system setup, modification and testing for benefits administration
- Be the Primary member of the Health & Safety committee, responsible for coordinating meetings and ensuring safety reviews are conducted
- Educating committee members on Health & Safety requirements (legislation & process)
- Coordinates Health & Safety initiatives as well as ergonomic assessments
- Completion of required forms for workplace injuries and filing to WCB/WSIB Insurance
- Responsible for maintaining reports required for board meetings and annual board reporting
- Developing initiatives and events to increase awareness of wellness programs
Who you are
- Has a university degree with minimum 1 year of experience
- Working towards CHRP and CEBS
- Prior benefit or pension experience would be an asset
- Has strong interpersonal skills and excellent organization sills
- Is analytical and detail oriented
