Position Details

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support Guidewire BillingCenter initiatives within the property and casualty insurance domain. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, billing SMEs, developers, QA teams, architects, vendors, and delivery leads to define requirements and support successful delivery across BillingCenter enhancements, integrations, production support, and cloud-related initiatives.

 

What You Will Do

  • Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for Guidewire BillingCenter initiatives
  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, interviews, and walkthroughs with billing business and technology stakeholders
  • Translate billing business needs into clear user stories, business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, data mapping documents, and acceptance criteria/use cases
  • Support BillingCenter enhancements, integrations, cloud migration readiness, remediation activities, and production support initiatives
  • Assist QA teams with test scenario review, UAT coordination, defect triage, and business sign-off activities
  • Analyze current-state and future-state processes, identify gaps, assess impacts, and recommend practical solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Work closely with product owners, development teams, QA, architecture, and business SMEs to ensure requirements are understood and delivered as intended.
  • Support Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, and release planning activities.
  • Track risks, issues, dependencies, and requirement changes, ensuring timely escalation and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Prepare clear documentation, status updates, presentations, and leadership-ready summaries as required.

The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. Who You Are

  • 8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with focus on Guidewire-related work for at least 5 years
  • Hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter implementations, enhancements, integrations, or production support
  • Strong understanding of billing operations, including billing plans, invoices, payments, commissions, delinquency, disbursements, refunds, and account servicing
  • Experience creating business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, process maps, data mapping documents, and traceability documentation
  • Experience supporting testing activities, UAT, defect management, and production validation
  • Guidewire certification in BillingCenter or Insurance Suite Analyst preferred
  • Experience with Guidewire Cloud implementations, cloud migration readiness, archive/purging, or remediation initiatives preferred
  • Knowledge of integrations, APIs, data mapping, payment platforms, document generation, or downstream billing systems preferred
  • Experience preparing executive-level updates, dashboards, delivery summaries, and governance documentation preferred
