Position Details
What you will do
• Work with the manager and stakeholders to initiate and execute projects in the areas of construction, renovation, remediation, and maintenance.
• Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP processes for Facilities-related contracts.
• Collect, analyze and evaluate vendor bid proposals. Validate and qualify potential suppliers and service providers based on company policies, legal and business requirements..
• Work with the reporting manager and in-house legal department to ensure Contracts are in the best interest of the company and T&Cs are reviewed.
• Implement cost-control strategies to ensure projects are completed within established project budgets.
• Schedule and conduct regular project meetings with internal clients, external consultants, vendors and stakeholders.
• Generate purchase orders and contracts for projects, various building services and maintenance and repair initiatives.
• Manage building maintenance & regular operations
• Process all department Invoices and maintain contract documents in company databases
• Attend to Internal customers in person
• Process event requests from internal departments and be the facilities representative for Company Events
• Be the Health and Safety representative for facilities department
• Update the company intranet for Facilities & Corporate Services
• Participate, initiate, and lead in process improvement initiatives within the department.
Who you are
• A self-starter, who takes initiative and is independent
• Organized and can effectively handle multiple priorities
• A Strong communicator
• Has experience managing projects with multiple vendors requiring complex coordination
• Has knowledge and experience working with Skilled trades and related disciplines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project).
• WHMIS and First Aid training. JHSC training would be considered an asset
• Facilities Management, or Facilities maintenance experience
• Business Administration Diploma would be an asset
• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation would be considered an asset
• Building Automation System (BAS) experience would be an asset
