Position Details
What you will do :
- Works in close partnership with the business to help develop and execute people strategies
- Identifies relevant trends and best practices to help their clients position themselves for future challenges and adjust their business and operating models as needed
- Develops and implements strategies in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, change management, human capital development, talent management as well as organizational development.
- Provides consultation, expert advice, and guidance to management and Associates.
- Work environment is both unionized and non-unionized
Who you are:
- Completion of CHRP or an equivalent is preferred
- Completion of University degree, plus completion of CHRP or equivalent (strongly preferred)
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar HR capacity.
- 3+ years direct recruiting experience; preferably in a competitive marketplace.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HR principles, procedures, practices, relevant legislation, regulations, labour and employment law.
- Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to determine root cause of complex issues and arrive at sound solutions.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and reprioritize tasks in response to unexpected changes in priorities/requests.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact at the executive, senior management, and non-executive levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and shift priorities and schedules as required.
