Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, the Manager, Investments will strategically assist in managing the investments for multiple CCG insurance entities, corporate assets, and pension plans to achieve the desired business objectives.

Position Details
What You Will Do:
• Assist in preparing investment monitoring and performance reports for all CCG’s portfolios
• Assist in the implementation, review and periodic update of CCG’s portfolios strategic asset allocation and rebalancing
• Assist the AVP with portfolio construction and risk analytics, recommending tactical calls on multiple asset classes to enhance portfolios risk adjusted returns
• Participate in investment research, assisting with third party investment manager searches, ongoing monitoring, documentation, and maintenance of internal databases
• Monitor the economy and the markets; maintain understanding of economic impact on the CCG portfolios and an understanding of current market environment across asset classes
• Maintain and update materials used in ongoing Investment Committee meetings related to economic and market commentary, asset Allocation research, fund manager performance and portfolio positioning
• Gather qualitative and quantitative data from investment managers, custodians, and other data providers
• Prepare and submit required trades to investment managers and custodians, verifying trade execution and ensuring settlement
• Act as a key point of contact in dealing with custodians, consultants, investment managers, record keepers, software providers and other vendors
• Prepare the Investment budgets file detailing the expected income from the portfolios
• Monitor compliance with and regularly assist in updating CCG’s Investment Policy and investment guidelines, as well as other relevant policies
• Monitor daily cash flows and recommend trades for liquidity purposes
• Provide support to all business areas on investment-related matters
• Ad-hoc and special projects as needed
Who You Are:
• CFA designation and a Bachelors Degree in Business, Mathematics, Economics or a related field of study
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the investment industry preferably at an insurance firm or a pension plan
• Thorough knowledge of liability-driven Investments
• Fundamental understanding of investment products across asset classes, including equity, fixed income, preferred shares, alternative, and private assets
• Passionate about investments across all asset classes
• Working knowledge of investment operations and best practices across a wide range of strategies and instruments
• Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry investments would be ideal
• Familiarity with Morningstar Direct is preferred
