Our diverse organization provides insurance, technology, retail, and travel solutions through its various subsidiaries. We are currently seeking to fill the role of Manager, Regulatory Compliance.
Position Details
What You Will Do
• Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders through the interpretation of regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of challenging issues and designing and providing training and general guidance to business lines on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
• Provide independent review and evaluation to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within CAA Club Group, CAA Insurance and Orion Travel Insurance are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved
• Identify, investigate and analyze current and emerging regulatory and compliance issues as they apply to our various business lines.
• Manage Provincial licensing requirements, both in markets where CAA Insurance Company already participates and as well as managing the process for licensing and registration in new markets.
• Participate in evaluating new/enhanced product lines to ensure our compliance and regulatory requirements are being met.
• Ensure the compliance activities across the Company continue to meet and exceed all regulatory requirements, reflecting the Company’s position as an industry leader
• Effectively deal with complex regulator issues involving multiple government and business partners
• Continually monitor business and organizational developments to anticipate compliance issues; responsible for regulatory review and analysis
• Correspond with regulators on behalf of the Company
• Liaise and collaborate with industry associations, professional bodies and counterparts at similar organizations with respect to regulatory and compliance matters
• Provide reports on a quarterly basis to keep the Board and senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts
• Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training programs
• Collaborate with colleagues in the CCG Privacy Office, Echelon and CCG legal departments
Who You Are
• Minimum: University degree in Business, Finance, Law or other related professional program or designation
• 5 years experience working in a compliance role
• Canada Insurance industry experience an asset
• Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather information, analyze critically and cut through complexity to arrive at workable solutions that mitigate risks
• Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to translate, articulate, and present highly technical and complex procedural recommendations, regulations, laws, and policies to a variety of audiences
• Ability to work across multiple lines of business, leading large scale complex initiatives with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Agile in navigating from current state to proposed solutions in industry change
• Ability to lead change and work in a fast paced and challenging environment
