Position Details


What You Will Do 


  • Oversee the annual development of Travel Insurance marketing plans to deliver targeted policy sales, revenues and member penetration within agreed upon budgets. Allocate and manage the Travel Insurance Marketing budget with the objective of driving positive ROI.
  • Plan and execute integrated multi-channel campaigns focused on acquisition, awareness, education and/or retention. Monitor and report on campaign effectiveness and continually refine the strategy based on a “test & learn” methodology.
  • Develop and lead Travel Insurance content strategy, across both online and offline channels.
  • Develop comprehensive customer segmentation to identify marketing and product opportunities.
  • Become a subject matter expert on CAA Travel Insurance products, sharing knowledge within the Marketing department and supporting innovation on the product side.
  • Remain up to date on Travel Insurance industry regulations and news to ensure marketing plans align with corporate, consumer and regulator expectations.
  • Demonstrate marketing expertise to key internal partners by understanding their business, market trends and key business practices.
  • Build strong relationships with key internal/external partners and vendors (e.g., sales channels, Orion, creative and analytics agencies).
  • Manage one direct report, providing day-to-day support and coaching as well as performance assessment and professional development planning.

Who You Are


  • University degree with specialization in marketing, advertising or communications
  • 5+ years of relevant marketing experience
  • Previous people management experience preferred
  • Previous experience in travel insurance marketing/product/sales or other insurance an asset
  • Experience in managing and executing B2C lead generation, acquisition and retention campaigns across both digital and traditional marketing
  • Strategic thinker who can see the big picture and interdependencies between what they do and its impacts on others
  • Proven superior relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated wide range of technical competencies: Brief development, vendor management, writing, editing, project management, data segmentation and post campaign analysis
  • Exceptional project management skills – demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, manage, delegate and deliver multiple demands and details, and to rally others to do the same
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a drive to collaborate with and influence peers, direct reports and leaders with messaging adapted for their audience
