Position Details

What you will do :

  • Understand CCG’s insurance environment help the business identify, assess and monitor operational risk
  • Lead the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) discussions and provide a sound second line of defense
  • Propose appropriate Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), set risk thresholds limits and conduct KRI benchmarking
  • Lead internal loss event discussions, advise on risk exposure and remedial actions
  • Identify plausible Operational Risk scenarios and conduct Operational Risk Scenario Analysis
  • Perform comparative analysis and review the risk assessments and outputs of each of the operational risk management tools
  • Assist in rolling out ORM Program components to new entities and provide training sessions
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business unit for operational risk management needs.
  • Provide ongoing support to the Third-Party Risk Management process
  • Develop or enhance key components of the Operational Risk Management Framework and Internal Control Framework to maintain program consistency with the regulatory expectations
  • Manage the Corporate Insurance process for CCG including project management oversight of application forms, annual renewal process, purchase of new insurance/endorsements as needed
  • Working with the corporate insurance broker to ensure adequate coverage is maintained within risk appetite
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on corporate insurance matters, including policy interpretation, coverage analysis, claims management, review of insurance terms in contracts

Who you are :

  • Bachelors or equivalent degree in Business Admin/Commerce/Finance/Economics/Mathematics/IT/Data Analytics/Computer Science
  • CPA, CRM, ARM, CRMP, CIP or any other risk designation is a requirement Experience in facilitating projects/programs that involved cross-functional stakeholders
  • Engage, build, and maintain collaborative and productive relationships
  • Effectively convey risk-related information clearly and persuasively to various levels of the organization; able to convey complex concepts in a simple and understandable manner
  • Adept at analyzing data and information to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks.
  • Evaluate risks objectively and propose risk mitigation plans based on data-driven insights.
  • Ability to approach a problem by using a logical approach.
  • Put customers first and demonstrate willingness and concern for the needs of customers
  • understand the business strategies and objectives to enable informed risk assessments.
  • Experience in leading projects/programs that involved cross-functional stakeholders
  • Prior knowledge/experience of OSFI’s Guidelines for Operational Risk Management
