In this role, you will team with IT resource managers, directors, project sponsors, executive leaders, external partners, vendors, and other stakeholders to collaboratively deliver IT Programs to support execution of CCG’s business strategies. Position Details

What Will You Do?

  • Manage complex IT application development and infrastructure programs and projects
  • Create winning IT strategies to achieve the program goals and deliver all the mandates of the business case driving the program
  • Develop and support innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business and align the solution with the existing system architecture capabilities
  • Act as a communications conduit to business stakeholders/partners to ascertain the program/project is fulfilling the business needs
  • Define and be accountable for the program - scope, schedule, budget, quality and project management plan
  • Provide program and project management direction and guidance to project teams, adhering to proven project management methodologies including Scrum agile 
  • Ensure program and project delivery is as per standards and best practices defined in CCG’s project management framework
  • Monitor the budget, keep track of actual cost monthly, and initiate corrective actions before variances exceed approved thresholds
  • Monitor and respond swiftly to issues, risks, and decisions, escalate issues promptly when necessary
  • Management of project resources in collaboration with the functional managers/directors
  • Provide regular status updates to sponsors, stakeholders, steering committee members, C-level executives regarding progress and emerging issues
  • Keep an eye on the pulse of the program and project team(s) and keep morale elevated

 

Who You Are?

  • Must be a team player with an intrapreneurship mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an analytical discipline
  • Master’s degree in management or related discipline is nice to have
  • 10-15 years of IT program governance and project management experience 
  • Successfully managed and delivered complex IT programs (i.e., digital transformation, multi-year, multiple phases/deliverables, with cross functional dependencies, across lines of businesses etc.)
  • Possess robust program management knowledge, practical technical knowledge, and strong business management skills
  • Solid leader who can rally teams towards the vision, mission, goals of the organization with ease
  • Ability to influence without authority through negotiation, interpersonal skills, and motivation skills
  • Strong ability to inspire others to build high performance teams and achieve extraordinary results in a fast-paced work culture
  • Exemplary communications skills specifically in communicating complex/technical information to a wide audience
  • Experience with handling steering committee meetings and presenting succinct status to program and project sponsors
  • Ability to multi-task and have resilience in dealing with shifting priorities or operating in an uncertain environment when all the details are not established (e.g., during the initiation phase)
  • Experienced in creating SOW, managing vendors
  • Excellent foundational skills in project management and planning, using tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA etc.
  • Strong understanding of technology concepts including SOA architecture, web services, data exchange standards, mobile development, data warehouse, B2B/B2C systems etc.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification an asset
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification an asset
  • Certified Scrum Master designation is an asset
  • Guidewire product knowledge is an asset
  • SAP product knowledge is an asset
