Position Details

What you will do:

  • Strong understanding of test and verification processes, methods, and tools
  • Proven ability to create automated test scripts, test scenarios, and analyze results using LoadRunner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with problem-solving skills
  • Experience with software performance testing on web-based applications and web services involving windows environments
  • Knowledge with applications involving protocols like web (HTTP/HTML), web services (SOAP and REST API), Ajax (TruClient and Click & Script), and Oracle (NCA and Web App 11i)
  • Extensive experience with HP Loadrunner and HP ALM Performance center.
  • Experience with open sources performance testing tools like Apache Jmeter and SOAP UI.
  • Experience in all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Solid experience in effort estimation, gathering non-functional requirements (NFRs), and converting them to performance test plan
  • Extensive experience in all phases of performance testing including test planning, test scripting, test execution, defect tracking, and management
  • Extensive experience in developing traversal flow documents from the test plan and iin creating robust performance test scripts with multiple protocols in challenging scenarios and following the best standard
  • Experience in developing strategies to create test data for scripts involving complex procedures.
  • Ability coordinating with multiple project teams for performance testing environment availability
  • Extensive experience in monitoring and analyzing test environment servers using enterprise monitoring tools like Dynatrace or Linux server logs
  • Proficient in analyzing performance test results and working with technical teams to resolve the bottlenecks
  • Experience in developing and maintaining project checklists during each phase of the project
  • Experience in managing and upgrading performance center including installing load generator software on machines and configuring them to Performance Center
  • Experience in managing and leading multiple simultaneous projects and team members as a project lead
  • Experience in training new project resources with performance testing processes, methodologies, and tools
  • Experience in creating knowledge repository documents based on the new technologies in projects and preparing case studies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and handle critical projects
  • Perform other related assignments as needed

Who you are:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance roles
  • Quality testing experience in P&C, Travel, Life & Health Insurance industries preferred
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards for Canadian Life and Health Insurance industry preferred
  • Experience with MGA/Broker systems preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • A passion for quality and strong attention to detail
  • Experience with designing Integration, System, User Acceptance tests
  • Experience with relational databases and writing SQL queries
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Working knowledge of systems such as TFS & JIRA is an asset
  • Hands-on experience with automation testing
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field
