Position Details

Skill Requirements
Main job responsibilities include: 

  • Review software requirements with Business Analysts and SMEs
  • Interpret requirements and developing both positive and negative test case scenarios
  • Develop test plans; test cases and execution of test cases
  • Ensure all test artifacts adhere to testing and documentation standards
  • Log defects, produce bug reports and test execution status reports
  • Perform root-cause analysis with developers
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings and provide QA status updates
  • Provide on-going support for production applications
  • Identify and support process improvements leading to higher quality standards

 

Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

Must Have:

  • Must have knowledge and experience of test design strategies for developing positive and negative test scenarios
  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on QA testing experience primary on Java based applications
  • Experience with functional, integration, regression, and smoke testing
  • Familiar with defect tracking and test case management tools such as JIRA and TFS
  • Strong understanding of development cycles within a continuous delivery environment
  • Hold a degree or diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • 5+ years extensive hands-on software testing experience
  • Exemplary communications skills specifically in managing complex/technical information to a wide audience

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with testing applications for fleet management for roadside assistance would be nice to have
  • Experience using automation tools such as Selenium or similar will be a major advantage
