Position Details

What You Will Do

  • Assist the Manager, Digital Marketing in developing the SEM and SEO strategies and defining the SEO optimization roadmap
  • Implement the SEM and SEO strategies, campaigns and projects
  • Provide insight and feedback to improve and optimize SEM and SEO performance in support of business goals
  • Develop, execute, manage, and optimize best-in-class paid search campaigns to drive growth
  • Track and measure, including marketing attribution and ROI of marketing spend
  • Manage vendors and the vendor relationship to ensure daily management of all SEM accounts
  • Communicate business requirements and KPIs to vendors and ensure that internal stakeholders are updated in a timely manner
  • Analyze campaigns and implement optimization and testing strategies to ensure goals are met or exceeded
  • Maintain and monitor all SEM parameters
  • Manage and understand nuances of large budgets
  • Manage monthly media spends across lines of business, and forecast campaign budgets to ensure ROI
  • Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to evaluate performance against forecast
  • Use data and analytics to identify opportunities for optimization
  • Work directly with copywriters, web developers, and marketing teams to execute strategies
  • Keep abreast on latest research, techniques, best practices, and emerging trends
  • Manage and mentor a team of Search Specialists (SEM/SEO)

 

Who You Are

  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma preferably in digital marketing, business, or communications
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience (B2C is a plus) with a background of planning, developing, executing, and analyzing search campaigns
  • 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS & Javascript
  • Ability to manage vendors and internal relationships
  • Ability to balance different lines of business with different SEM goals
  • Ability to articulate SEM / SEO specific concepts and practices to non-technical audience
  • Experience with standard Google & Bing products/tools
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data manipulation
  • Understand web design, graphic design, and copywriting
  • Knowledge of Bright Edge or similar software
  • Google AdWords Certification (preferred)
  • Recognized SEO certifications (preferred)
