Position Details

What you will do :

  • Responsible for providing a stable and reliable server systems while maintaining a high level of security. 
  • Windows Server Management – Install, configure and maintain Windows servers.
  • After Hours Support - Provide 24 x7 infrastructure and systems support across data centers, and remote sites on a shared schedule across the team.
  • Manage and monitor all production-related systems and respond quickly and decisively as issues arise to bring about a quick resolution.
  • Problem solve and troubleshoot technical issues.  Diagnose root cause of system malfunctions, as well as address hardware, software or connectivity issues.  Recover systems and data as required.
  • Review system performance and reports to analyze and make recommendations to alleviate bottlenecks and performance issue (Aria, VeeamOne, Solarwinds, SCOM)

Who you are :

  • Expert skill administering Microsoft Windows Active Directory environment including domain services, sites and services, users and computers, and group policy administration in our data centers and in Azure Cloud.
  • Automation and Scripting abilities including PowerShell and Python as well as, knowledge and experience in Dev/Ops tools such as Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, etc.
  • Proven experience in cloud technologies including Azure & AWS cloud. Overall administration including VM provisioning, infrastructure & software maintenance, costing, monitoring and problem solve and troubleshoot ongoing issues. 
  • Proven experience with VMware Cloud Services, including VMware, Aria, Skyline, as well as managing our on-prem hyper converged infrastructure supporting VMware.  (Dell Servers and Cisco UCS)
  • Storage Administration including provisioning, upgrading, snapshots, and maintenance in storage arrays, and SAN switches. (Dell Power Store, NetApp, Pure Storage, Brocade)
  • Backup Administration including managing backup configurations and perform software/hardware maintenance. Perform restores and resolve failures.  (Veeam, Networker, Data Domain, ExaGrid)
  • Patching – Stay updated with latest Windows security patches and features. Understand security protocols, vulnerability assessments and manage risk with regular patching, and upgrades. (Microsoft, Ivanti) 
  • Citrix Administration including infrastructure, and provisioning and maintenance
  • Post-Secondary education or Diploma in computer science or Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 3 plus years’ experience working at a Systems Administrator or related position
