Position Details
What Will You Do:
- Planning and budgeting of fleet vehicle and shop equipment needs
- Preparing and administering an annual operating budget for the department
- Department and vehicle insurance needs
- Understand and keep, comply with federal, provincial, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, health and safety, etc
- Work order preparation, invoicing, and account charges are accurately recorded
- Handle internal repair work expeditiously to minimize costs and to free productive labor for other work
- Ensure service vehicles are serviced and repaired correctly
- Oversee technicians on the job; provide technical information; ensure use of correct tools and equipment
- Ordering and maintain inventory the necessary parts required to repair fleet vehicles
- Maintain shop equipment in safe and effective working condition. Establish preventive maintenance schedules where necessary. Advise management on equipment required for department
- Work closely with fleet to solve any outstanding equipment issues, to ensure CCG Drivers have a safe and viable work vehicle
- Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all department Associates to ensure a highly engaged team resulting in exceptional performance
- Follows all Human Resources practices during any disciplinary or attendance counseling to comply with provincial employment legislation and company practices at CCG
- Ensure that service department Associates follow safety policy and practices and that they report all accidents immediately
- All other duties as assigned

The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. Who You Are:
- 5+ years Fleet Service Centre Manager or 2 to 3 years Shop Supervisor or Lead Hand experience
- Red Seal Automotive Technician
- Heavy-Duty Transport Technician (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety processes
- Hands on, seasoned, and well-organized professional with effective time management skills
- Exemplary communications skills specifically in communicating complex/technical information to a wide audience
