Your role as Fleet Supervisor is to assist CAA Club Group of companies in accomplishing its goals and objectives by providing leadership and direction to drivers to ensure CAA member services are performed within the Company’s established guidelines.  Communicates with supervisors in related departments and offers input into decision-making processes.  Performs major work activities of ERS Fleet Drivers when required.

Position Details

What You Will Do:

  • Open and ensure functionality of the ERS Maintenance Facility, including ensuring clean and organized driver facilities
  • Assign fleet vehicles and proper equipment to ERS Drivers, ensuring all digital equipment are functioning properly.  Also, ensuring ERS Fleet vehicles are clean, fully stocked with all required supplies.  And, ensuring ERS Drivers are publicly acceptable in appearance for the start of the shift
  • Communicate with mechanics regarding equipment snags and necessary repairs of company equipment based on information from ERS Drivers
  • Coach drivers towards providing positive customer service to members through promoting CAA Manitoba’s Service Principles and Connections program
  • Resolve conflicts related to driver/members/service facilities in a fair and professional manner
  • Perform truck checks, assist drivers in completing calls as required, if required ride alongs
  • Monitor the productivity and efficiency of the shift of drivers, and taking action to address problems as they occur
  • Resolve member questions, comments, complaints in real time
  • Communicate in writing with Winnipeg Fleet Manager all issues regarding drivers or members that are items of concern arising from accidents, incidents, misconduct, or other situations of concern
  • Proactively assesses the need for change, seeing to it that appropriate resources are available to facilitate changes, considers factors that will support or hinder change initiatives, enthusiastically promotes change in terms of the expected benefits, as well as removing or lowering the impact of potential obstacles
  • Complete other directly related job duties as required
     

Who You Are:

  • 2 – 3 years previous Supervisory experience within a related field
  • The proven ability to build strong, positive relationships with staff and customers
  • Knowledge of the city of Winnipeg, and rural geography of Manitoba
  • Previous experience operating a tow truck or other heavy equipment
  • Computer proficient with Excel, Word, D3 and all other CAA technology
  • Current Provincial Drivers License with no more than 4 demerits
