Position Details
What You Will Do
- Handle MIG and non-MIG files up to the point of CAT
- Responsible for investigation, evaluation, negotiation and settlement and administration of all accident benefit claims through detailed and thorough investigation, needs analysis, entitlement to benefits, facilitation of coverage and delivery of superior customer service
- Effectively guide and assist the insured through the claim process, in order to achieve service excellence and successful file resolution
- Responsible for benefit payments (as per legislation)
- This role does not have an ADR component, although, there is opportunity to be part of mediations, arbitrations and discoveries as learning opportunities

The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. What You Have
- Minimum of 2-3 years Accident Benefit claims handling experience
- Through knowledge of the legislation that governs these benefits (SABS)
- Well-honed negotiation skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional communication skills both written and oral
- Strong organizational and time management skills coupled with strong decision-making skills
- Post- secondary education in a related field, and/or working towards CIP designation would be preferred
