Position Details

What you will do

• Investigation, evaluation, negotiation and settlement and administration of all accident benefit claims.
• Handle MIG and non-MIG files up to the point of CAT.
• This role does not have an ADR component, although, there is opportunity to be part of mediations, arbitrations and discoveries as learning opportunities.

Who you are

• Post- secondary education in a related field, and/or working towards CIP designation would be preferred
• Minimum of 2-3 years claims handling experience
• Thorough knowledge of the legislation that governs these benefits (SABS)
• Well-honed negotiation skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional communication skills both written and oral
• Strong organizational and time management skills coupled with strong decision-making skills
