Position Details
Reporting to the Manager of Business Solutions, the Business Consultant, will drive the following:
What you will do:
- Build long-term relationships with internal and external partners by communicating clear expectations.
- Assist in project sizing, resource and scope estimates.
- Lead sessions with business representatives to perform business analysis, including documentation of business initiatives using standardized templates.
- Prepare business requirements documentations that clearly define business problems, business objectives and options/solutions.
- Participate in project planning and provide regular status reports to management.
- Participating or lead daily team meetings (scrums).
- Use standard business analysis methodologies to continually assess new solutions and processes to ensure those solutions meet customer's expectations.
- Identify, develop, and document testing strategies with acceptance criteria to validate business requirements.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level end user support to both internal and external users, partners
- Understand business needs and translate them into system solutions.
- Advise on technology solutions to meet business needs.
- Participating in planning and effective QA testing.

The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. Who you are:
- CIP or Post-secondary education in Business or Information Technology.
- Minimum 2 years experience in the Insurance industry is preferred .
- 2 to 4 years experience as a Business Analyst or Business Consultant is considered an asset.
- Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical acumen and demonstrated experience in data gathering, data analysis, data backfilling, and the creation of conceptual and logical models.
- Knowledge of the Insurance industry is an asset.
- Experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Visio and MS Project.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher is an asset.
- CBAP or PMP designation is an asset.
- Proficient written and verbal French skills an asset.
