Position Details
What You Will Do
- Building long-term relationships with clients by communicating clear expectations; assist in project sizing, resource and scope estimates
- Leading sessions with business representatives to perform business needs analysis
- Leading documentation of business initiatives using standardized templates
- Preparing business requirements documents that clearly define the business problems, business objectives, and options/solutions
- Participating or lead daily team meetings (scrums)
- Preparing project plans and provide regular status reports to management
- Using standard business analysis methodologies
- Providing and advising on technology solutions to meet business needs
- Continually assess new solutions and processes to ensure those solutions meet customer’s expectations
- Identify, develop, and document testing strategies with acceptance criteria to validate business requirements
- Provide 2nd level end user support to both internal & external users
- Configuration of rate tables and products
Who You Are
- Post-secondary education in Business or Information Technology
- Minimum 2 years proven experience in the insurance industry is referred
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Business Analyst or Business Consultant is considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Strong technical acumen and demonstrated experience in data gathering, data analysis, data backfilling, and the creation of conceptual and logical models
- Knowledge of the Insurance industry an asset
- Experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Visio and MS Project
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher is an asset
- CBAP or PMP designation is an asset
