Position Details

What You Will Do 

  • Conducting investigations through review of internal/external data/systems per department Standard Operating Procedures within the claims operation
  • Act as a lead ILI for the organization with respect to Equite
  • Providing recommendations for action post-investigation – warning, revocation, no action
  • Based on root cause analysis and case investigations, provide recommendations within the claims operation
  • As needed, provide recommendations to enhancements of the tools used to conduct case investigations
  • Make recommendations to the development of investigative strategy, methodology and approach for all investigations
  • Design and create data reports /tools to proactively identify questionable claims or policy activity


Who You Are

  • Post-secondary education 
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the similar role with knowledge of PD/Property and Casualty claims
  • Completion of or willingness to obtain the following license/certification/courses: Private Investigator License, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification, OSINT, Fire Investigation and ICAR courses
  • Excellent customer service experience 
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams 
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality 
  • Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal
  • Strong negotiations and analytical skills
