Position Details
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participates in development of product, policy wording, insurance material, distribution channels and marketing plans.
- Gathers and maintains competitive and market intelligence materials.
- Conducts needs analysis with key stakeholders to identify, analyze target markets, local marketing initiatives and any ad hoc or niche marketing opportunity requirements.
- In conjunction with Marketing and Business Analyst, develops and maintains an effective communication process, including up-dated product information on intranet, internet and club sites.
- Conducts sales, marketing, financial reporting and analysis on an ongoing basis and provides results to Manager and key stakeholders.
- Working closely with Business Partners and other departments to maintain regular reports related to product offerings.
- Provide underwriting direction, guidelines and interpretation.
Job Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Marketing or Business
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Product Development, Underwriting, Marketing and Risk Management in a Property & Casualty environment
- Strategic mindset coupled with exceptional analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and think “outside the box” looking for creative solutions and opportunities
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Visio and MS Project
- CIP designation or working towards it will be considered a strong asset
