Position Details

What you will do:

  • Review and approve incoming vendor estimates to ensure quality and technical competence.
  • Providing Scope review and seek clarity from the vendor on estimates, negotiate costs with vendors/contractors.
  • Provide dispute-resolution services on estimate reviews relative to the CAA member, vendors and the Insurance company.
  • Provide advice to Property adjusters when exceptions are encountered.
  • Coordinate the appraisal resources to ensure assignments are dispatched.
  • Participate in the industry events and various special projects for the benefit of the claims department as identified from time-to-time.
     

 

What you have:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in building construction as a project manager or as a senior property adjuster with an insurance carrier
  • Working knowledge of XACTANALYSIS platform and XACTIMATE software.
  • Familiarity with the building code and hazardous material exposure management.
  • Educational background including relevant post-secondary education complemented by a CIP designation or working towards a CIP designation
  • IICRC Fire and Water restoration certification would be an asset.
  • Strong organizational; decision making and problem solving skillset with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced technical knowledge of property damage analysis.  
  • Advanced negotiation skills and investigative logic.
