Position Details

What You Will Do 

In this dynamic position, you’ll lead a team of consultants and analysts, driving excellence in business analysis, application testing, delivery, and production application support in support of the Orion Travel Insurance business. Your responsibilities extend to overseeing the NIS Maintenance Release process, managing change requests, providing guidance to your team on the successful delivery of product enhancements and production fixes, and ensuring clear communication of timelines to stakeholders. As a key influencer, you will build and nurture cross-functional relationships, negotiating scope and timing between business and CSS teams for releases. Your operational oversight will encompass providing guidance on requirements gathering and solution design, conducting regular process reviews, and supporting the development and growth of the team. • Influence and shape operational direction among cross-functional teams in the problem-definition and resolution process.
• Lead operational initiatives with governance, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish and uphold a framework to identify and address sources of complexity in business processes, striving towards continuous process improvement.
• Build strong networks to identify opportunities to get involved in projects that others are leading across the various Orion support areas.
• Establish and foster communication with vendors and distribution partners.
• Participate or lead business in negotiations with existing and new technology suppliers and partners.
• Provide development, leadership, guidance and mentoring of Insurance Business Consultants and Business Solutions Analysts.

Who You Are 

• Post-secondary education in Business Administration and IT Technology Management
• 5+ years in an insurance environment, preferably in a technology or business analyst role
• Work experience in leading teams
• Proven ability to achieve results
• Strong Project Management Experience
