Position Details

  • Settle or claims habitation, automobile, motorcycle, long haul trucking, commercial, warranty program, etc.
  • Determine/assess coverage of claim 
  • Conduct investigation: statements, establish loss, proceed with settlement, negotiate, etc. 
  • Determine subrogation potential and proceed 
  • Guiding and directing external vendors for effective investigation, control and facilitation of claims
  • Prepare any correspondence or file reports
  • Process payments (or denial) in accordance with established authority
  • Maintain timely and accurate claim reserves on files
  • Actively manage claims audit program
  • Some travel is involved 

Who You Are 

  • Personal-lines Damage Insurance and Commercial-line Damage Insurance Claims Adjuster AMF permit
  • Minimum 5 years of experience 
  • CIP or FCIP designation or working towards is an asset
  • The incumbent must be bilingual (French and English), as he or she will be communicating with colleagues and customers in other provinces.
  • Strong business writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, decision making, problem solving and presentation skills
