Position Details
Reporting to the Product Manager, Personal Lines the Senior Data Specialist, will oversee the processes and procedures with respect to data reporting, providing analysis of trends, analysis, participate in testing, audits, documenting processes, procedures and training of associates. The successful candidate will have a professional ‘can-do’ attitude and a strong work ethic which will allow them to thrive within a fast paced environment.
- Be the subject matter expert for Risk Sharing Pool and IBC Reporting for all Provinces other than Quebec.
- Identify trends on IBC data quality and provide recommendations and changes to processes to address identified issues providing any necessary training or procedure changes.
- Update and maintain documentation for RSP procedures and provide raining for Associates as needed on procedures and trends as required.
- Work collaboratively with both internal and external customers as it pertains to RSP or IBC reporting and procedures.
- Be the contact person for RSP & GAA and ensure that all reports and error corrections are submitted on a timely basis.
- Act as a backup to the team when needed on testing on system issues and third party rating engines as requested by the Manager, maintaining test results.
Who you are
- 5 – 7 years of experience in Personal Lines Underwriting
- College or University education in a related field is required
- Have completed CIP pursuing or have completed FCIP and or CRM designation
- Must be bilingual; both French and English is required because the incumbent will be communicating with colleagues and clients from other provinces.
