Position Details

What You Will Do 

  • Create communication and change management plans to support business objectives
  • Responsible for intake meetings with team members or client stakeholders for requirements gathering 
  • Create and execute communications plans to support external facing content marketing/brand building campaigns, while ensuring that internal stakeholders are informed in advance of these initiatives.
  • Prepare communications required for all communications plans
  • Project management of key communications projects
  • Oversee supporting promotions outlined in communication plans, including Intranet pages, Intranet updates, and Intranet banners
  • Organize virtual or physical engagement campaigns and events 
  • Recommend and implement strategies to relay intercompany information and communications 
  • Lead the planning and creation of Echelon’s monthly Associate newsletter
  • Monitor and report on usage and feedback of internal publications and provide guidance on future expansion or refinement of the publications
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a content strategy to build Echelon’s brand and showcase our Employer Value Proposition (EVP) to existing and prospective associates
  • Manage Echelon’s editorial calendar and prepare internal editorial and thought leadership content to promote Echelon’s Employer Value Proposition, working collaboratively with HR and Marketing and Communications team members
  • Lead the preparation of content and business updates for virtual and live events
  • Support board content creation
  • Lead the transition of Echelon’s intranet to the same platform as CCG, including
  • Project management of key communications projects
  • At the direction of the Director, create external facing content to position Echelon’s brand as a trusted Specialty insurer and a top employer in the industry
  • Responsible for researching evolving best practices in communication, and making recommendation on how to improve internal and external communication engagement rates

Who You Are 

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 2-3 years of relevant communications experience
  • Experience writing and editing publications or news stories
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with SME’s and translating complex information into digestible formats that resonate with identified audiences
  • Experience creating project plans, and managing multiple stakeholders to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of communications
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal ability
  • Knowledge of web-based communication tools; Mailchip, Sharepoint, Contently, Canva and Clickup an asset
