Position Details
Reporting to the AVP - Long-Haul Trucking and Commercial Auto leader, the incumbent will lead and direct the underwriting of complex new and existing Commercial Auto & LHT programs (Fleet, garage, Towing, LHT).
- This position will collaborate with Business Development and Actuarial to achieve profitable underwriting results through the growth, development, and underwriting of products and services
- Maintain knowledge of industry, market, and competition; anticipate external market trends, internal needs and/or client needs.
- Make sound financial judgments based on a thorough understanding of financial management methods, the nature of insurance risk and costs.
- Responsible for achieving operational goals, while adhering to client service standards and being compliant with company and industry regulatory standards.
- Delivering established new and renewal business and expense goals as provided by the Vice President for goal achievement.
- Making sure deliverables are met, identifying gaps and providing solutions to address any concerns.
- Ensuring the achievement of all standards as outlined in the Company operational guidelines
- Monitor risk selection of their respective region
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of required products, markets and territories.
- Achievement of premium goals and budgets.
Your Profile
• University Degree Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or similar
• 7 + years in Commercial Auto and or LHT
• 5 years in Managing Leaders
• CIP or FCIP designation
• CRM exposure
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven record to work effectively in a team environment, and resolution and get the consensus and consultative approach Motivated, enthusiastic and self-directed.
• Initiative, sense of urgency, accountability and results-oriented.
