Position Details

What You Will Do 

 

  • External event and sponsorship planning, promotion, and execution

  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Business Development, and other stakeholders to establish annual broker and customer event marketing plans

  • Lead the planning of Echelon’s annual broker loyalty retreat (300K budget)

  • Develop detailed project plans to ensure that all event-related deadlines are captured and met

  • Research, source, and manage various vendors to fulfill event and budget requirements

  • Book venues, catering, arrange transportation, accommodations, and convention registrations 

  • Coordinate the timely development of collateral and promotional items for events

  • Work with IT and/or external vendors to meet audio/video requirements 

  • Provide event consulting support to select brokers 

  • Work with Graphic Designer and Marketing to plan and execute promotions related to events

  • Lead the creation of event dashboards to capture value of each event, and guide future event investments, calculating brand exposure, and business development KPI’s 

  • Seek new sponsorship opportunities to promote Echelon’s brand with key stakeholder groups, evaluating opportunities and capturing their potential ROI/brand exposure

  • Develop the annual sponsorships budget, facilitate the contract and payment process, and track all sponsorship expenses

  • Capture and track sponsorship benefits and opportunities, and develop and execute plans to optimize exposure of each sponsorship

  • Manage promotional opportunities for all sponsorships. Ensure that all branded collateral and promotional items are provided for events, and that they are accurate and on-brand.

  • Liaise with communications and content team to fulfill sponsorship-related editorial and PR opportunities

  • Work collaboratively with members of the communications team and other internal stakeholders to establish an annual internal events plan

  • Provide consultation, resources and best practices to internal teams to support the planning of select team events and retreats 

  • Create an annual budget and plan for Echelon’s promotional branded giveaways

  • Order all promotional items, liaising with approved promotional vendors

  • Maintain contracts and manage the performance of all promotional item vendors

Who You Are 

 

  • University degree in Marketing or related field

  • 2 years of previous event planning and execution experience

  • Demonstrated experience in managing large scale marketing projects

  • Insurance and/or B2B marketing experience

  • Superior internal/external partner relationship management ability

  • Comfortable working with budgets

  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and thrive in an environment of changing priorities 

  • French language proficiency would be an asset
