Position Details

What you will do

The Claims Adjuster, Bodily Injury is responsible for oversight and handling of complex long haul trucking (LHT), towing, commercial automobile and on occasion commercial general liability (CGL) claims. Claims are moderate to severe in nature and the successful candidate will have a dynamic personality and the ability to excel in a high performance environment while ensuring claims are properly investigated, evaluated, and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate claims of varying complexity
  • Maintain control of expenses through pro-active handling techniques
  • Conduct technical audits to monitor quality, activity, reserving and expenses
  • Handle and settle claims within prescribed authority
  • Identify and investigate subrogation opportunities

The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. Who You Are 

  • 3-5 years of progressive casualty management claims experience
  • Knowledge of multiple US jurisdictions and strong dispute resolution skills
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with strong organizational and time management skills
  • CIP designation or working towards completion is preferred
  • Post-secondary education completed in a related field
