Position Details

What You Will Do 

The Manager, Vendor relations will guide, develop and oversee the vendor management strategy within the Claims Function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leadership of the vendor management team and supporting Echelon Contracts Manager with the creation and maintenance of contracts with vendors, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring appropriate quality assurance oversight. This individual will ensure that all aspects of legal and contractual obligations are sufficiently managed, ensuring timely and quality service to customers, broker partners and stakeholders. 

  • Establish the vendor management strategy for the claims function and lead a team of vendor management professionals to deliver against this strategy
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders and Quality Assurance, lead the development of Quality Assurance reviews and key performance dashboards that measure performance across various indicators
  • Prepare reports to management that accurately reflect key performance indicators including but not limited to contract status, vendor performance and vendor capacity
  • Manage Vendor Managers including hiring, performance management and day to day support of the team

Who You Are 

  • 5-7 years of Vendor Management in a cross functional environment & People Leadership 
  • Detailed understanding of contract terms, monitoring activities, and required due diligence
  • Ability to communicate and articulate vendor performance issues and due diligence items to appropriate parties both internally and externally
  • Post-secondary education completed in a related field
  • Ability to act independently and support business partners through issue resolution process with suppliers
