Position Details
The experienced business and product development manager in our Commercial Automobile line of business will be responsible of the implementation of the division’s underwriting strategy in conjunction with the Director of Long Haul Trucking and Commercial Automobile, for the achievement of regional performance goals,, underwriting activities and leading a team of professional staff.
- Providing product development leadership to ensure product integrity and support the development of new products and/or enhancements of current products.
- Support the Director in leading a growing team of professional staff, achieving business goals and operating within approved budgets.
- Collaborate with senior managers in other departments to utilize their expertise and ensure consistency with overall company direction
- In conjunction with the Technical Underwriting Manager, developing underwriting processes and procedures.
- Ensuring that proper review and approval processes are in place for new policy wordings or major policy wording changes.
- Identify and facilitate learning and development programs focused on overall enhancement of skills.
Who You Are
- College or University degree coupled with 7+ years of Commercial Automobile underwriting, product management and business development experience.
- Prior leadership experience
- One of the following FCIP, CIP, CRM
- Product management experience with profit & loss responsibility for Commercial Automobile line of business.
- Understanding of financial management methods, the nature of insurance risk and reinsurance.
