Position Details

 

What You Will Do 

  • Ensure test process, methodologies and tools are applied appropriately

  • Support the team in creating reusable test assets

  • Primary liaison for testing resources and business participants on business acceptance test support

  • Manage relationships with project team members, third party vendors/ service partners, release teams and client areas as appropriate

  • Foster an environment that encourages productivity, innovation, teamwork and a high level of professionalism

  • Ensure team continuously enhances knowledge of tools, processes and procedures necessary for testing activities

  • Participate in improving QA processes to deliver good quality products by giving feedback on existing and newly introduced processes

  • Manage, create, and deliver testing strategies and plans using risk analysis methodologies and tools that align with the development approach/methodology selected for the project including project closure documents, weekly testing status reports and project defects report

Salary range is not inclusive of total compensation. The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. Who You Are 

  • Post secondary Degree, diploma, or certificate in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of IT experience focused on Quality Assurance in P&C insurance domain and Guidewire testing of Policy Center, Billing Center and Claim Center

  • Guidewire Certification preferred

  • ISTQB or any equivalent Certification preferred

  • Hands-on knowledge of software development and testing life cycles including methodologies and practices, version control practices and defect management practices

  • Sound hands-on knowledge of API testing
  • Ability to create Test Strategies, Test Plans and Defect Reports of moderate to high complexity

  • Knowledge of test case design techniques

  • Understanding of business workflows and products/applications involved

  • Understanding of documentation repository practices and procedures

  • Understanding of the underlying technologies and infrastructure used by the applications supported.

  • Able to identify and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders. Can demonstrate ways to meet the diverse needs of different interest groups.

  • Strong administrative and organization skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
