Position Details

What You Will Do

  • The Specialty Programs Administrator is the main point of contact for client inquiries, stakeholders for reports and updating the database.
  • Respond to client inquiries concerning Specialty Programs
  • Log calls, file and forward correspondence as required concerning client inquiries and requests and cancellations
  • Maintain MGA Agreement and Administration filing system and report on any outstanding requirements for unsigned or non completed agreements
  • Maintain and update various reports such as but not limited to: Program Information Summaries, Program Audit log, Actuarial summary, Risk Management Manual, MGA licensing information, regulatory reporting information database, premium and claims report,  summary monthly data reports for management
  • Perform day to day filing functions
  • Take meeting minutes for Specialty Division meetings
  • Maintain Active Program Listing
  • Prepare monthly accrual entries and maintain a record of all entries and reversals and provide monthly report to senior management and finance
  • Run queries on distributor’s monthly program reports to ensure integrity of data
  • Receive and review premium and fee receivable reports from accounting and advise management of any issues that develop
  • Maintain reinsurance documentation for each program and update the on line data and reinsurance arrangement summaries
  • Gather information for reinsurance and regulatory reporting
  • Gather information and prepare documents for Program audits

 

Who You Are

  • Experience in a similar role preferred
  • Post-secondary education required
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Able to effectively set priorities to meet deadlines with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written; French would be an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Access)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Strong independent learner with a good aptitude for numbers
