Position Details

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing support processes in line with company guidelines and ensuring the team meets operational and service standards.

• Oversee team performance, objectives, deadlines, and professional standards.
• Manage annual performance reviews, recruitment, attendance, coaching, mentoring, and training of underwriting support staff.
• Lead by example and promote clear, open communication.
• Foster a high‑performance team culture and ensure key underwriting service indicators are met.
• Hold regular team meetings to review goals and establish action plans.
• Achieve operational objectives while maintaining customer service standards and adhering to company and industry guidelines.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to support underwriting workload.
• Manage daily workflow distribution and produce status reports.
• Build strong relationships with brokers.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting rules, company policies, and operational guidelines.
• Implement new policies and procedures and ensure regular audits are completed.
• Act as a technical resource for issues related to new business, endorsements, renewals, and systems.
• Participate in industry events and associations as needed.

The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. Your Profile 

• University degree or equivalent experience.
• CIP or FCIP designation is an asset.
• 5+ years of experience in Commercial Auto.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to lead change and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Solid judgment in commercial underwriting supported by analytical skills.
