Position Details

What You Will Do:

  • Own the full product lifecycle for Commercial Auto & LHT: opportunity sizing, roadmap definition, requirements, pricing/actuarial partnership, underwriting alignment, regulatory filings, implementation, launch, and post launch optimization
  • Lead multiple, mid to large-scale projects end to end, coordinating with internal and external partners
  • Define product strategy and target outcomes; translate strategy into a prioritized backlog (epics/stories), clear acceptance criteria, milestones and KPIs
  • Support Actuarial and Business Analytics on rating strategy and product monitoring; ensure underwriting rules, and business logic are implemented accurately and are testable
  • Collaborate with IT, Legal and Compliance to design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions and integrations
  • Prepare executive-ready communications with crisp narratives and visuals
  • Translate complex ideas into clear stories and implications for non-technical stakeholders
  • Establish governance and change control for policy forms and underwriting manuals; manage regulatory timelines and underwriting filing obligations across jurisdictions
  • Assist in developing and maintaining performance dashboards for Product Management driven initiatives
  • Use feedback from brokers and internal associates to drive faster launches, refine products continuously, and ensure low-risk delivery
  • Act as SME in Insurance products and services primarily for the auto lines of business, acting as key point of contact
  • Conduct competitive research, gather market intelligence materials, identify opportunites and analyze industry trends as they relate to P&C Insurance products

 

Salary range is not inclusive of total compensation. The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in quantitative field, or Insurance
  • 5+ years in P&C product management (or closely related roles) with demonstrable end-to-end ownership of auto insurance initiatives; Commercial Auto and Long-Haul Trucking exposure is an asset
  • Deep understanding of the auto insurance product lifecycle, including pricing, underwriting, filings, operations, and distribution
  • Proven track record leading small to mid-sized, cross functional programs from concept through launch at scale, balancing speed, quality, and risk
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, set priorities, and execute in dynamic, ambiguous environments
  • Technical fluency: advanced Excel; proficiency in data analysis/visualization (Power BI); practical experience with VBA, SQL and/or Python/R is a strong asset
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Requires strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation capabilities
  • Able to convey complex concepts in a simple, concise, and engaging manner while fostering effective interpersonal interactions
  • Experience with governance & risk controls, multi jurisdiction regulatory filings, and product change management
  • Exposure to telematics/connected vehicle data or usage-based insurance concepts
  • CIP/FCIP or comparable industry designation is an asset
