Position Details

What You Will Do

The Actuarial Analyst is a key contributor in evaluating the rates and profitability across all lines of business, helping in establishing the reserve and support the corporate planning at Echelon Insurance.

  • Perform rate adequacy assessments for Echelon Personal Lines (auto and property) and Commercial Lines programs nationwide and make recommendations.
  • Perform rate comparisons and other ad hoc pricing analyses.
  • Collaborates with unit responsible for pricing and supporting the business development of the organization in key regions.
  • Participates in implementing business solutions that will contribute to the business development initiatives 
  • Provide occasional support to other actuarial function if required.  

Who You Are 

 

  • University degree in actuarial science/statistics/math.
  • Bilingual  French and English an asset 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite, VBA , R , Qlikview, Python would be an asset
  • P&C experience is an asset
  • Minimum of  3 actuarial exams completed
  • Must have strong communication and organizational skills
  • Competencies needed are adaptability, innovation , proactive, analytical skills and decision making
