Position Details

  • Analyze loss prevention reports, PEVL, SMS, CVOR and previous claims in order to become familiar with problems and market trends and discuss them with the insured.

  • Schedule meetings/visits with the insureds 

  • Discuss results with underwriting to ensure key recommendations.

  • Review various documents to assess the quality of management of the client's operations in relation to its obligations under the various Canadian and U.S. long-haultrucking regulations.

  • Take notes or obtain reviewed documents in order to be able to formulate precise recommendations to maintain or improve risks towards a higher level of safety and compliance.

  • Play an advisory role in explaining the benefits of complying with government standards, and how the application of government standards can reduce insurance costs.

  • Validate file notes, to ensure that the customer has provided all the information and that nothing has been forgotten.

  • Observe the risks associated with road transport, including speeding and maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles, using relevant documentation.

 

Who you are 

  • At least five years' experience in risk prevention

  • At least 5 years' relevant experience, ideally in safety and compliance in the road transport sector

  • Very comfortable with IT tools

  • Good organizational skills

  • Team player and excellent communicator;

  • The position requires travel for work purposes 50% of the time

  • Ability to read PEVL, CVOR and SMS reports. Good understanding of hazardous materials industries. In-depth knowledge of various loss prevention courses, including defensive driving.

  • At least 5 years' relevant experience, ideally in safety and compliance in the road transport sector.

  • Good expertise in loss prevention, including defensive driving.

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy

  • Respect for deadlines and enjoy working in a dynamic environment
