Position Details
- Review loss prevention reports, recommendations, SMS, CVOR, and prior claims in order to clearly understand the issues and market trends.
- Discuss findings with underwriting to ensure alignment on key recommendations.
- Review the various documents in the file to assess the quality of the client’s trucking operations.
- Take notes and formulate clear recommendations to maintain or improve risk levels.
- Play an advisory role by explaining the benefits of complying with government regulations and how their application can help reduce insurance costs.
- Validate file notes to ensure the client has provided all required information and that nothing has been overlooked.
- Keep the underwriter informed of the file’s progress.
- Submit the report to the underwriter and send a copy to the manager after the inspection, within 2 business days.
- Observe transportation-related risks on the road, particularly compliance with speed limits and maintaining safe distances from other vehicles, using relevant documentation.
Your profile
- Minimum of five years of experience in risk prevention.
- T.P.I. certification is an asset.
- The role requires travel approximately 50% of the time.
- Ability to read MTO, DOT, and SMS reports.
- Good knowledge of industries dealing with hazardous materials.
- Strong expertise in loss prevention, including defensive driving.
- Promotes teamwork and fosters strong interpersonal relationships.
- Respects deadlines and enjoys working in a dynamic environment.
