Position Details

What You Will Do 
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the acquisition, development and retention of talent. The main responsibility is to assist the human resources and leadership team by maintaining and aligning talent programs to increase engagement, effectively apply policies, procedures and leveraging best practice tools, technology and people resources to meet Echelon’s business objectives, in an extremely fast paced and continuously changing environment.
•    Effectively manage full cycle recruitment while working closely with internal stakeholders
•    Source and attract candidates through identifying and using the latest recruitment tools and strategies
•    Provide support to internal stakeholders ensuring that the recruiting process runs smoothly
•    Effectively manage a high volume of roles and candidates on a national level with minimal direction
•    Demonstrate professional discretion when engaged with confidential and sensitive information
•    Identify prospects through sourcing platforms, networking and other strategies to find qualified active and passive candidates
•    Staying up-to-date on latest industry best practices and trends 
•    Review applications and candidates to evaluate if they are a good fit for the team.
•    Track and monitor all temporary agency orders; provide feedback and clarification to agencies regarding candidates interviewed
•    Gather feedback from agencies on an ongoing basis, regarding internal requests and summarizing challenges in order to create action plans for continuous improvement
•    Follow up on job offers and employment contracts
•    Manage the successful, professional onboarding of new team members
•    Maintain and provide input on improving the onboarding and exit processes
•    Assist in other human resources related areas such as employee engagement as needed

Who You Are 
•    4+ years of talent acquisition experience 
•    Exposure to both a corporate Human Resources function and agency environment is preferred
•    Attained or actively working towards the CHRP designation is preferred
•    Post secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration
•    360-degree experience in sourcing and recruiting for various roles within the financial industry, property and casualty insurance experience is preferred
•    Must possess excellent communication skills and able to build rapport with all levels of staff within the organization, and all levels of recruitment
•    Excellent time-management skills with the ability to handle numerous positions simultaneously, at various stages through-out the recruitment process
•    Good understanding and working knowledge of HR policies and procedures and employee relations
•    Proficient in MS Office and HRIS software
•    Must be able to responds to the needs of both internal and external customers in a timely and courteous manner, showing a sense of urgency
